Community Voices

Community Voice

In December of 2008, Community Voices was informally created by group of people who saw a need to use the Denver Indian Center for activities that bring the community together.

The goal and purpose of Community Voice is to promote and provide cultural, social and support activities and events so that American Indian people can reconnect and form friendships that give our people a feeling of belonging in an urban setting.  Powwows, social and family gatherings, games (bingo), and the display of tribal flags promote this concept.  Please contact your tribe to have your flag hung at the center.

Community Voice is held the first Wednesday of every month with a Potluck supper at 5:30 P.M.  All are invited to attend this gathering to focus on planning activities that promote coordination and collaboration efforts with the Denver Indian Center.
