After contact is made with the Service member’s unit case manager, they will get numbers to their home state armed services. Their home state service managers will then call and arrange for car loans, mortgages, credit cards and other outstanding debts to lower their payments and take away all interest that is added to their accounts while they are deployed. Once the Service member returns, they continue payments without the interest until the end of the debt.
