Denver Indian Center, Native Workforce Program

Can provide up to:

$4,000 per year for tuition assistance ($2,000 per semester),

$1,000 per year for living expenses ($500 per semester), and a

A RTD bus pass

The Native Work Force Program is focusing on Native Americans who are currently in higher education and require some financial assistance. The Native Work Force Program has the following eligibility requirements:

  • Currently in school as a full-time student in a 4 year accredited college

  • Undergraduate Full time a minimum of 12 credit hours

  • Graduate Full time a minimum of 6 credit hours

  • College or University must be in the State of Colorado

  • Must be at a Junior or Senior Level or a Graduate Student (current)

  • Freshmen and Sophomores’ – please apply as there is some identified funding also available at a lesser amount

  • 3.0 GPA or higher

  • Applicants should be full time students attending an accredited School

  • Must be enrolled in the Native Workforce Program (Qualified)

  • Must be American Indian with Tribal I.D. or Degree of Indian Blood

  • Income statements for last 6 months (check student)

  • Financial Aid form signed by the school

  • Must have State DL or ID and Social Security Card

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Any other requirements and documents will be discussed at the time of the application.

Bring the above, original documents (no photo copies) with you to the intake meeting at the Denver Indian Center, 4407 Morrison Rd, Denver, Colorado 303 936-2688.

Closing date: February 1, 2010 for the Spring Semester
