NWP NEW Strategic Plan

The newly redesigned Native Workforce Program (NWP) Strategic Plan, July 2008 - June 2010, includes principles of the Department of Labor’s (DOL) Native American Talent and Economic Development (NATED) program. By including information regarding economic and workforce trends locally and regionally, the program works to align American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/ANs) with opportunities.

The Native Workforce Program (NWP), funded by Department of Labor Workforce Investment Act, seeks to enhance the employability and employment prospects for American Indians and Alaska Natives.

The program provides training, education, work opportunities and other assistance while educating employers about the values of hiring American Indians and Alaska Natives.
